SUMMER 2022
I wrote scripts for the Noon, 5, and other evening news shows using iNews. I added graphics for the stories with Streamline. I downloaded and cut videos for each story from CBS and CNN using Premiere. I even timed the Noon show. By the end of the summer, I was working on the Noon show with little to no supervision.

During my internship, I worked remotely using Microsoft Teams, I looked up the best top ten stories of the day, conducted interviews, wrote stories, recorded readers, and learned a lot from Jerome Vaughn.

With this on-campus news program, I have been able to create my own stories, practice using a teleprompter, created news packages, edited videos, gotten interviews and recorded videos. I have interviewed President Davies from Central Michigan University and have also filmed a live newscast from the 2016 Governor Election Night and got to see Gretchen Whitmer win.
NATIONAL BROADCASTING SOCIETY (NBS)

This is a great program. I was able to meet students who share the same goals as me in the broadcasting field. As well as get a chance to travel to Fox 2 news Station in Detroit Michigan for a station tour.

I was a member of RTDNA during my freshman year. We would video chat with many professional in the career fields surrounding broadcasting.

I have been a member of the club since I came to Central Michigan University. Now I am the treasurer and I was elected to because the members trust me with their money. In this position, I keep track of the money, work with the bank, make sure members pay their dues and attend executive board meetings.

I started with the LI like many others with Leadership Safari, a student orientation program. Then I attended programs within the institute like LeaderShape, Spark Leadership, Purpose and the Connections Conference. After I participated in them once, I then started facilitating some of the programs like Spark and Purpose. I was also apart of the coordinator team and helped facilitate activities for the participants. Lastly, I was a committee member for the Connections Conference, I was on the design team and created a name tag and at the event, I helped manage the sessions.

I was a member of the swim club because I loved swimming in college and wanted to continue in college. With the team I was able to keep up with my skills, travel with the team and compete at other schools. I have been to schools like Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Oakland University.

Intern with WDET radio. I wrote stories, learned from reporter and even did a reader. I was able to work during the time of the pandemic and a social uproar. Interviewed different people and learned how to report at riots and protests.

As a lifeguard, I would watch over the pool, save pedestrian's lives when in danger and clean up the pool deck. As a WSI, I teach swim lessons to all ages, help them learn and master stroke technique, and make everyone feel comfortable in the pool.
