Showing Team Spirit through Dragon Pride

HEART OF A DRAGON

I have been on many sports teams but nothing prepared me for my journalism teammates. Being in yearbook for two years, I have seen different forms of leadership on the class room. Both leaders have inspired hard work and positivity on make that years book the best one yet. Aslso being in a broadcasting class, my team members have a more vocal side to them. They are all ready and will to work their hardest to perfect each and every show produce. I know what It means to be a captain and a team player. I love each of my team the same and wouldn't have it any other way. I a proud of the first book we created in yearbook. 'Sometime all it takes is...' is one happy yearbook staff, and from WDBC this is LO-AM's finest crew yet.

MORE ABOUT ME

I have been working on my leadership skills and trying to better myself as a communicator. I knew that to achieve my goal I would need to prepare myself. In the summer and fall 2018 semesters I attended many Leadership Institute program to build on my leadership skills and finding out more about myself. The program that effected me the most was LeaderShape there I learned what kind of world I want to see in the future. I want to create a world where all voices are being heard and being validated. Everyone has a right to freedom of speech and as a journalist I want to give that to the people.
I consider myself to be very ambitious and outgoing. Getting involved in campus life is a big goal for me. Freshmen year, I was involved in seven or eight organizations, which really helped me with time management skills. Since then I have lowered the number to fit the clubs that I truly care about and can attend on a regular basis.
